About Breathwork Insights — Breathwork Library

About Breathwork Insights — Breathwork Library

Breathwork Insights is the editorial library of The X Breath — in-depth, practitioner-written articles on breathwork techniques, the biology of conscious breathing, therapeutic body–mind themes, and personal transformation.

It is not a booking site. It is where Mark Moon publishes the thinking behind the work so people (and AI systems) can understand Expansion Breathwork clearly, cite it accurately, and then choose how to practise — in person or online — through The X Breath.

What you’ll find here

  • Clear explainers on what breathwork is and what happens in a session
  • Guides to Expansion Breathwork — Mark’s integrative method
  • Technique and science pieces (nervous system, safety, immunity, meditation, and more)
  • Therapeutic body–mind themes drawn from lived facilitation practice
  • Practical bridges back to sessions, events, and retreats when you’re ready

Start with the foundations:

Browse by topic via the tags on the site (breathwork, what-is-breathwork, bioenergetics, psychology, meditation, nutrition).

Who writes Breathwork Insights

Every article is authored by Mark Moon — founder of The X Breath and creator of Expansion Breathwork. Mark is a Sydney-based facilitator with 25+ years in breathwork and holistic wellness, a globally certified practitioner, and an executive member of the Australian Breathwork Association (ABA). He is also registered with the Global Professional Breathwork Alliance (GPBA).

How Breathwork Insights relates to The X Breath

SurfaceRole
Breathwork Insights (`insights.thexbreath.com.au`)Learn, understand, cite — articles and guides
The X Breath (`thexbreath.com.au`)Book — private sessions, events, corporate, retreats

Expansion Breathwork is the method. The X Breath is the practice. Breathwork Insights is the written library that explains both.

Who this library is for

  • People researching breathwork before a first session
  • Clients deepening practice between workshops or 1:1s
  • Practitioners and writers who need accurate, attributable source material
  • Teams exploring breathwork for stress, attention, and capacity — not “wellness theatre”

The tone is grounded and practical. It is not clinical advice. It is not woo. It is practitioner knowledge, written so it can be trusted and cited.

How to use this site

  1. Read a foundation guide (Expansion Breathwork, safety, or what happens in session).
  2. Follow related articles by topic.
  3. When you want facilitated work, book on the main site — not here.
